Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn (born on 19th August 1965) is an American actress from the United States. She is most famous for portraying the role of Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (TVN crime drama The Closer). Sedgwick was awarded an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. The seventh season of the series ended on the 13th of August 2012. Sedgwick is also well-known for her role in the show in the role of Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick received a Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline Wuntch in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's roles in other films include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's solos (1992) as well as Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996) as well as What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald who was a speech and family therapist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV Venture capitalist. She was born in New York City. Her mother was Jewish. Her dad was Episcopalian and of English descent. Sedgwick has stated that she is Jewish and has said she attends Passover seders.
